Friends of the Yankton Community Library
Who are the Friends of the Yankton Community Library?
A nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enhance the activities and goals of the Yankton Community Library. Anyone who has a Yankton Community Library card and a love for the library is eligible to become a friend of the library.
The Friends of the Yankton Community Library are civic minded people who support the library through volunteerism and fundraising. First established in 1992, the group has completed a myriad of projects including monthly book sales, purchasing needed equipment for the library, and volunteering time and talent.
Ways to be involved with the Friends of the Yankton Community Library:
The Friends of the Yankton Community Library meet on the third Monday of every month and every member is welcome to attend. In addition, Friends run the monthly used book sale, annual membership social, and the Gourmet Guys event. Gourment Guys is the Friends' annual fundraiser and they are in the midst of planning this year's October 7th event now. The Friends help to raise funds to meet various needs faced by the library.
